This article presents the development of an improved seed mixer
design for the working chamber of the 5LP linter machine. The technological features
of the cottonseed delinting process and the performance of existing seed mixer
designs were analyzed. The movement of cottonseed mass inside the working
chamber was investigated, and a new structural solution was proposed to improve the
interaction between the seed mass and the saw cylinder. The proposed design is
expected to provide a more uniform seed distribution, increase delinting efficiency,
reduce energy consumption, and improve the operational reliability of the machine.
