Based on research findings and a review of the literature, this article analyzes the theoretical and practical foundations of construction methods used when teaching the subject of "Engineering Graphics" to students and presents relevant conclusions. Specifically, it examines the content and essence of methods such as constructing a straight line from a point, changing planes of projection (used to determine the relative positions of planes in space), rotating figures around a perpendicular axis, and compression, as well as their role in geometric construction and technical drawing. The article also analyzes didactic approaches developed for teaching these methods, aimed at fostering spatial reasoning and cultivating an engineering mindset among students.
The study demonstrated the practical effectiveness of information and communication technologies (ICT) and interactive teaching methods—such as virtual modeling, brainstorming, clustering, and concept mapping. Pilot sessions conducted with students from the Engineering Graphics Faculty at Karshi State Technical University revealed that using visual models and 3D graphics software (
