DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTELLIGENT OPTICAL MEASUREMENT SYSTEM FOR FRUIT QUALITY CONTROL

This paper presents the theoretical development of an intelligent
optical system for fruit sorting based on surface quality characteristics. The proposed
system integrates machine vision technologies, rotational scanning, laser sensors, and
artificial intelligence algorithms. RGB analysis and neural networks are applied for
defect detection and classification of fruits according to quality categories. The
simplified system design reduces energy consumption, improves operational stability,
and enables efficient real-time sorting. Theoretical analysis demonstrates that the
proposed system is promising for implementation in modern automated agricultural
processing enterprises.
